This is $29K in free money that ACR is paying back to players on the Beast.

90 players won Cash, First place paid $2980 while finishing 90th won $104.

137 players collected $55 tournament seats to the April 27th LSOP Millions II seat package event.

Other ACR news:

BIG TEN $12.5K GTD

ACR increased the buy-in on the nightly Big Ten $12.5K GTD to $30 (28+2)

This can be good for players, the Tournament still guarantees $12.5 K but  has had a slight impact on total players involved. The first couple of nights at the new buy-in I’ve seen 380 to 400 runners each night, smaller fields are a little less taxing to win and it lowers the number of positions paid, so each time you cash, you will win more.

$20K High Roller

Starting on May 4th at 6:30PM ET look for the 20K High Roller tournament.

This new tournament has a 10K chip stack, 20 minute blinds and $20,000 guarantee with a buy-in of $530.

The Beast on ACR to become a Weekly Race for Cash

The Beast Gets More Ferocious With New Weekly Points Race Format Starting February 1st.

Americas Cardroom has unveiled the plan to make The Beast even more player friendly in February.

Here’s the press release announcing the change…….

ACR San Jose, Costa Rica – January 24, 2014 – Poker players with big appetites for winning are going to love this. The US-friendly online poker site Americas Cardroom today announced that their popular points race, The Beast, is taking on a new weekly format. The move to a 7-day points race comes just a few months after The Beast morphed from a monthly event into a twice-monthly one on October 1st, 2013.

“We’ve heard our community loud and clear,” said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “America has responded in record numbers to The Beast and told us that they love getting rewarded more often. So rather than resting on our chip stack, we’ve upped the ante in a major way by transforming The Beast into a weekly event.”

The new weekly Beast gives poker players a new chance to race to the top every week for cash prizes and tourney seats. Each race runs from Saturday at 00:00 until the following Friday at 23:59. Poker players who win a cash prize will see the money paid into their account by end-of-day every Monday. Any tournament seat wins are paid out on the Sunday following the cash prize payout.

The Beast is Americas Cardroom’s progressive points race that’s funded entirely through the poker site’s designated tables, using players’ shared contribution money. At the end of each 7-day period, the prize pool in The Beast is distributed to players who rank on The Beast leaderboard.

Players compete on two leaderboards simultaneously—a cash leaderboard and a tournament leaderboard. The cash leaderboard pays out as much as $20,000 to the top player, and the tournament leaderboard pays out seats in major online tournaments that award big prizes like seats in 6-figure guarantees or packages for the Punta Cana Poker Classic or LSOP land-based tournaments.

Anyone who sits down at a cash table marked Jackpot automatically becomes part of The Beast competition by earning points through participation in a raked hand. While more points are earned at higher stake levels, everyone participating in the same raked hand earns the same number of points—regardless of how much rake they contributed to the pot.

The new weekly format means that players will now have the opportunity to participate in a brand new large-scale Beast tournament every week. Americas Cardroom is famous for its Beast tournaments, in which players can win a spot by ranking on the Beast leaderboard. The new format means that Americas Cardroom will host a new Beast tournament every week.
