“Week Three” Sunday Morning Fantasy Advice and Injury Update

The NFL kicks off its first Sunday Early Slate of games1pm-kick-offs at 1 PM ET

Now is the time to finalize those last minute Fantasy line-ups and tune into your favorite Network Pre-Game shows and Sunday Morning Fantasy shows for the absolute latest in all NFL news, last second Fantasy suggestions and Injury Reports.

Since I posted my Week 3 Player selections for DraftKings and Fan Duel, there have been dozens of updates from all my fantasy sources and I was able to accumulate a few additional names to consider.

After all that, here are the basic players I’m sticking with for my numerous Week 3 Line-ups. I use different combinations of all these players (in different line ups) in order to maximize my potential.

This year I’m introducing BOLD PLAY’s on my Sunday morning report.

My Sunday morning reports will always have latest injury news, my top weekly plays listed and all players highlighted in BOLD are must plays. Some may very obvious plays, the others are just plain bold choices who could excel or fall flat on their faces.

Get as many Bold Plays into your line ups as possible……….

“Players in Bold, are Sunday must plays”

D Prescott DAL QB v CHI (CHI DEF is thin with injuries)

D Carr OAK QB v TEN (OAK can score/and they can’t stop anyone)

E Elliott DAL RB v CHI (see D Prescott)

C Michael SEA RB (starting for T Rawls v SF DEF)

M Gordon SD RB v IND (no Woodhead, now has a firm hold on all RB touches)

J Landry MIA WR v CLE (playing CLE)

A Cooper OAK WR (see D Carr)

T Benjamin SD WR v IND (last man standing)

T Williams SD WR v IND (last man standing)

D Bryant DAL WR v CHI (see D Prescott)

P Dorsett IND WR v SD (could be last standing IND WR)

Q Enunwa NYJ WR v KC (Has looked great and B Marshall has knee)

C Walford OAK TE v TEN ( TEN DEF very suspect v TE & WR’s)

D Allen IND TE (A Luck needs targets)

Pitta BAL TE (vs JAX DEF and projected low ownership this week)

MIA DEF v CLE ( CLE on 3rd QB this year)

DAL DEF v CHI (This game could get really ugly for CHI)

Also do whatever you can can to work any Monday Night combatants (should be a high scoring game) into your line-ups.  D Brees NO QB, B Cooks NO WR, M Ingram NO RB, T Cadet  NO RB, Matt Ryan ATL QB, J Jones ATL WR, D Freeman ATL RB, T Coleman ATL RB, J Tamme ATL TE. This will most likely be a shoot-out under the dome in New Orleans.

As always closely monitor the ACTIVE/INACTIVE reports prior to Kick-off, make sure everyone you are starting is playing…….

Key Injuries to closely monitor this morning:  Q = questionable, D = doubtful, GTD = game time decision

D Walker TEN TE Q, A Jeffery CHI WR Q, B Marshall NYJ WR GTD, TY Hilton IND Q, J Charles KC RB D, J Cutler CHI QB D, T Rawls SEA RB D, D Parker MIA WR Q, T Lockett SEA WR Q, E Ebron DET TE Q, C Ivory JAX RB Q, K Wright TEN WR Q

W Snead NO WR GTD plays Monday Night, I wouldn’t play him on Fan Duel

Players Definitely Out:

R Jennings NYG RB is out, A Gates SD TE is out, S Watkins BUF WR is out, J Stewart CAR RB is out, D Moncreif IND WR is out, C Coleman CLE is out, D Martin TB RB is out, A Foster MIA RB is out, Z Ertz PHI TE is out, Eifort CIN TE is out, D Woodhead SD RB is out, A Abdullah DET RB is out, J McCown CLE QB is out, A Peterson MIN RB is out, K Allen SD WR is out, D McFadden DAL RB is out, T Romo DAL QB is out, T Bridgewater MIN QB is out, T Brady NE is out.

As always I wish everyone who has a fantasy line up today—GOOD LUCK………….

DraftKings Week 3 NFL Line Up advice

Week 3 DraftKings Line Up Suggestions and Stacking advice.

Welcome to Week 3 on DraftKings….

Note: Updated September 21, 2016

Now that we have a week of NFL fantasy under our belts, we can maybe see a couple of trends developing? We haven’t seen everything, but we can sorta notice (we’re still mostly guessing at this point) how some things are developing.

Vegas has set some very low scoring overs for week 3, they seem to think scoring will be low this week with many notable defensive games. In fact there are 8 games projected to have total scoring of 44 points or less.

Week 3 Game Lines:

Higher Scoring Games: ATL at NO -3 (54), SD at IND -3 (52), DET at GB -7.5 (48), WAS at NYG -4.5 (46), OAK at TEN -1.5 (47)

Low Scoring Games: CLE at MIA -9.5 (41.5), MIN at CAR -7 (43), SF at SEA -9.5 (40), DEN at CIN -3 (41)

A few thoughts about the Week Three players and match-ups:

Week 2 saw a lot of anticipated fantasy scoring fail to materialize. Who knew that Saints and Giants could actually play some defense? Who knew the rain/wet conditions in Pittsburgh would affect the aerial attacks of the Steelers and Bengals to the extent it did?  Those 2 games alone severely hampered and disappointed many fantasy players.

Injuries also dotted the NFL landscape with several notable players going down in week 2.

Running back’s took the brunt of the mayhem with A Peterson MIN, A Foster MIA, D Martin TB, A Abdulah DET, J Stewart CAR and D Whitehead SD leading the list.

Injured Wide Receivers: D Moncrief IND and D Baldwin SEA.

Injured Quarterbacks: J Cutler CHI and J McCown CLE.

The Atlanta at New Orleans should be the game fantasy players key in on Monday Night. Make sure you have exposure in this one. Brees, Cooks, Snead, Ryan, Julio and Freeman all should be considered.

I’m also liking the Miami offense this week, namely R Tannehill QB, J Landry WR, D Parker WR and J Ajayi RB (monitor A Fosters status) all having a good days against the Cleveland Defense.

Start the MIA DEF against the Browns.

Matt Forte NYJ RB looks like he is 25 again, ride him again this week. Q Enunwa NYJ WR is also an interesting play, most defenses pay so much attention to B Marshall and E Decker he is often forgotten in coverage.

The SD at IND should also have a few nice fantasy plays. Play P Rivers SD QB and stack him with T Benjamin SD WR. A Gates SD TE should see even more targets with D Woodhead RB now on IR.

P Dorsett IND WR and D Allen IND TE will also be seeing more targets from A Luck IND QB with D Moncrief IND WR status still unknown at this time.

OAK at TEN should also be another battle of porous Defenses, make sure you get D Carr OAK QB, A Cooper OAK WR, L Murray OAK RB, M Mariota TEN QB, D Murray TEN RB, T Sharpe TEN WR and D Walker TEN TE added to your lineups wherever possible.

The Sunday night game features CHI at DAL. Chicago looked worse than Cleveland on Monday night. Start the DAL DEF (no J Cutler for CHI and B Hoyer is starting?) and this could be finally be the week that D Prescott and D Bryant finally hook up for a couple of long scores. E Elliott should have a excellent rushing game in the 2nd half with a big lead.

D Washington DET RB will be starting in  A Abdulahs place.

F Whittaker CAR RB will start in J Stewarts place.

DraftKings Week 2 NFL Line Up advice

Week 2 DraftKings Line Up Suggestions and Stacking advice.

Welcome to Week 2 on DraftKings….

Note: I’ll be updating this post as more information becomes available

Now that we have a week of NFL fantasy under our belts, we can maybe see a couple of trends developing? We haven’t seen everything, but we can sorta notice (we’re still mostly guessing at this point) how some things are developing.

Vegas has set some very high scoring overs for week 2, they seem to think scoring will be up in 2016, so I am looking at some very high scores for us fantasy guys this week.

Week 2 Game Lines:

Higher Scoring Games: TEN at DET -5.5 (47), CIN at PIT -5 (47.5), NO at NYG -5 (52.5), TAM at ARI -6.5 (50), SF at CAR -14 (48.5), ATL at OAK-4.5 (48)

Low Scoring Games: PHI at CHI -3 (42.5), MIA at NE -6.5 (41.5)

A few thoughts about the Week Two players and match-ups:

I benefited greatly using D Williams PIT RB and A Brown PIT WR on Monday Night on week one, I’m going to ride the Steelers offensive studs until further notice. AJ Green CIN WR excelled in week one, expect him to see numerous opportunities in a high scoring game with the Steelers this week.

Until further notice start whatever defensive team is playing the LA Rams, this week it’s the Seattle Seahawks.

SF is at CAR this week, The 49er DEF held the LA Rams to 0 points. The Panthers are not the Rams. I’m looking at C Newton QB,  K Benjamin WR, G Olsen TE, T Ginn WR and J Stewart RB all as very playable this week at home.

S Ware RB KC had a great week one against the Chargers, He’s up against a better HOU DEF this week and we still don’t know if J Charles will be available. Start Ware, but don’t expect a 30 point game.

JAX is visiting SD this week, I’m liking the Jaguars to rebound from their week one loss to GB in a big way. B Bortles JAX QB, A Robinson JAX WR and A Hurns JAX WR should put up bigger numbers against he Chargers DEF this week. K Allen SD WR was put on the IR with a knee after week one, this makes T Benjamin SD WR, T Williams SD WR and A Gates SD TE more viable targets for P Rivers SD QB to throw to.

Arizona lost to NE on Sunday night, look for the Cardinals to take out some revenge against TB this week. Make sure you get D Johnson ARI RB, L Fitzgerald ARI WR and M Floyd ARI WR in your line ups,  I can see J Winston TB QB throwing an awful lot to play catch up with M Evans TB WR being the big target for Winston.

T Sharpe TEN WR didn’t disappoint in week one, look for him to continue to prosper this week against DET.

D Prescott DAL QB had an okay ( 10.3 fp’s) first start for the Cowboys, his price increased to 5800 on week 2, which is still a great value for the starting QB on a good offensive team in what should be a high scoring game against Washington.

The NFL Fantasy Season Kicks off tonight on Thursday Night Football

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the live, take it seriously action of NFL Football on opening night.

We’re all pumped up for real football on Thursday Night, but you really have to temper your expectations for fantasy scoring tonight.

The Vegas Line has Carolina as a -3 favorite at Denver with a over of just 41.5 points.

Most experts have the score predicted even lower, thinking Denver will struggle to score any points with a rookie QB T Siemian. I have seen predicted scores as low as a 17 to 10 Carolina win.

What does this mean for Fantasy Football players playing contests that will include the opening  Thursday Night Game in the scoring?

This could/should be a low scoring defensive struggle……It means you should probably stay away from overloading your fantasy line-ups with DEN and CAR players, but should cherry pick only one or two value plays and concentrate your week one line ups with players from the Sunday and Monday Night games.

Complete Week One DraftKings Line Up advice

REMEMBER: You can not win your weekly fantasy league/contest on one Thursday night game, but you can burn thru a lot of low scoring roster positions and lose any chance of a week end win on a Thursday Night.

Who should you play?

I’m not really fond of any Denver players (except their DEF) on Thursday Night. The Carolina defense is  still one of the best in the league and is up against a rookie QB.

I can see using any one of these players C Newton CAR QB, T Ginn CAR WR , G Olsen CAR TE or the CAR DEF. I would not use any more more than one, the DEN DEF is still very good and is expected to carry the Broncos this season.

If you looking to get an early week one start on DraftKings, you might want to try The DraftKings NFL $1M Kickoff Million [$1 Million Guaranteed].

DraftKings Week One Monday Night players to target

Set a great DraftKings NFL Line-up on Monday Night.

The NFL has scheduled 2 Monday night games (like they always do) to kick off the 2016 regular season and that will allow for Monday Night only Fantasy Football on Draftkings. As soon as the Monday night contests are posted on DK, I’ll highlight them right here.

The Featured Monday Night Contest on Draftkings is the $600,000 NFL Monday Night Doubleheader. At only $3 to enter it features a firstplace prize of $50,000 and pays out over 59000 winners.

draftkings-monday-night-featured-contest

Here’s a early look at those games and who you should consider using in your line ups on Monday, September 12th

Week One Monday Night Lines:

7:10 PM ET PIT -3 at WAS (50) and 10:20 PM ET LA -2.5 at SF (44.5)

This years Monday night Kick-off has 2 interesting games to watch. The PIT at WAS game is projected to be high scoring with plenty of action. You want to have a big part of it.

Both teams had trouble stopping opposing offenses last year and will still have problems. Both of those offenses, especially PIT can put up points quickly. Stacking Roethliberger and Brown would be ideal, but is an expensive proposition, like almost 40% of your cap space. I like the Cousins/Reed stack with A Brown as my number one WR.

R Kelly WAS RB 4300 could be starting in place of M Jones WAS RB (shoulder), if he is, he is a must start value play for Monday night.

LA at SF puts 2 offenses against each other that last year were pretty disappointing. T Gurley is the best RB on the Monday Night schedule and should be worked into your line up some how, some way.

V McDonald SF TE looks like an interesting Value Play, he and B Gabbert SF QB have seemed to develop a connection with each other at the end of last season and during the preseason this year.

I really like the following players on these Monday games:

QB: B Roethlisberger PIT 7800, K Cousins WAS 7400, B Gabbert SF 5400

RB: D Williams PIT 7000, T Gurley LA 7800, R Kelly WAS 4300

WR: A Brown PIT 9800, M Wheaton PIT 5400, P Garcon WAS 4400, D Jackson WAS 6100, S Coates PIT 3700

TE: J Reed WAS 6600, V McDonald SF 3100

DST: Start  LA 3800 or SF 3100. As the lowest scoring game tonight, these Defenses should accumulate points.

QB/WR Stacks: Roelisberger/A Brown PIT 17600, K Cousins/J Reed WAS 14000, Gabbert/McDonald SF 8500

The limited schedule on Monday night will allow a great deal of Salary Cap flexibility and offer many chances to set up multiple lineups to increase your chances of winning on the Monday Night Double.

DraftKings Week One NFL Line Up advice

Week One DraftKings Line Up Suggestions and Stacking advice.

Welcome to Week One on DraftKings….

Updated: September 7, 2016

Now that the NFL preseason is coming to an end, it’s time to start your in-depth line up research and begin setting those week one line ups. Here are the Always Rules that I use to help me in my line up decision making process.

Week One in the NFL is usually one of the hardest weeks to handicap for fantasy purposes, no one really knows how good any real team will be (offensively or defensively), no one knows the exact plans or strategies the coaching staffs will use and it will take us fantasy players a couple of weeks of regular season game action to actually know what is what, who is who and until then, it’s just a guessing game.

Vegas has set some very high scoring overs for week one, they seem to think scoring will be up in 2016, so I am looking at some very high scores for us fantasy guys this week.

A few thoughts about the Week One match-ups:

I’m looking at the Colts taking some liberties with the Lion defense this week, so Andrew Luck combined with his talented receiving corps should put up big points.

In this game I’m also thinking that M Jones Jr. DET WR will continue to stand out as M Staffords deep guy (without Megatron this year), he has so far in camp and he has been turning heads around the league.

I really like the Stacks of B Bortles/ A Robinson JAX and Cousins/Reed WAS (Monday Night) to continue their excellent play as shown last year.

It looks like J Charles KC RB will not play in week one, this makes S Ware KC RB 4400 a must start in your line ups.

Dak Prescott DAL QB 5000 has been named starter to replace T Romo DAL QB who is expected to miss 6 to 10 weeks. Prescott has been outstanding in preseason and seems very comfortable leading the Cowboys. Although he is untested, he could easily put up 18 to 20 fantasy points this week and would be an extremely valuable play until his price increases in weeks 2 and 3.

C Ivory JAX RB should find plenty of running room for the Jaguars this year, courtesy of the deep threats of JAX WR’s Robinson and Hurns.

OAK at NO could also provide some fireworks on both sides, I think the younger Raider offense can put up some big points against the weaker Saints Defense this week.

You should also consider using L Blount NE RB, He will be “the guy” with D Lewis NE RB out in week one and beyond? No one really knows if J Garoppolo NE QB will be up to the task while he starts during Tom Bradys 4 game suspension. You would think there would be more touches for Blount, but who really knows what Coach Belichick is thinking. Blount has a great history of Goal Line touches and scores, this could be his opportunity to really shine. Also, without Tom Brady, I’d lower my expectations for any NE receivers, including Gronk until further notice.

As soon as the Monday night contests are posted on DraftKings, lean on Big Ben, Antonio Brown and D Williams as stack options. K Cousins WAS QB and J Reed WAS TE also make a nice QB/TE stack on Monday night.

Week One Game Lines:

OAK at NO-1 (50.5), GB -4.5 at JAX (47), NYG at DAL -3.5 (49.5), DET at IND -5 (49), NE at ARI -5.5 (Sunday night) (48), PIT -3 at WAS (Monday night) (50.5).

Top defensive games: MIN -3 at TEN (42) and SD at KC -7 (43)

The current NFL contest slate set up on DraftKings does not include the Monday Night games on week one, every player I have listed are for the Sunday only contests. I’ll update this list when the Monday Contests are included.

Players and their salaries I am targeting this week on DraftKings.

Fan Duel Week One NFL line up advice

Welcome to Week One of NFL Fantasy on Fan Duel

Updates will be made as needed leading up to week one kick offs.

Last Update: Sunday, September 7

Each week I’ll be posting players I am strongly considering for my Fan Duel football line ups each week. I’ll also include QB/WR stacks and injury news you should be watching for possible reserves who may benefit from those situations.

Vegas has several high scoring games on their lines for week one, there should be plenty of points to be had for savvy fantasy players this week.

Always keep in mind that Week One is typically a hard week to handicap, no one really knows who or what the coaching staffs are secretly planning to use or how to use their newly found gems and we’ll all have to wait and see the regular season play out a couple of weeks to really get a grasp on exactly what team defenses are good and how the rookie class of players will be used/emphasized.

Week One Top scoring Game Lines:

OAK at NO-1 (50.5), GB -4.5 at JAX (47), NYG at DAL -3.5 (49.5), DET at IND -5 (49), NE at ARI -5.5 (Sunday night)  (48), PIT -3 at WAS (Monday night) (50.5).

Top defensive games: MIN -3 at TEN (42) and SD at KC -7 (43)

Players I’m targeting this week,

I’m putting a lot of emphasis on the Monday night match-up of PIT at WAS for my Fan Duel line-ups. There are a couple of stacking opportunities to behold and I can see this game being even more high scoring than the wise guys in Vegas are predicting.

Even without L Bell PIT RB (3 game suspension), the Steelers should be able to rack up a shitload of points. Don’t be the guy who does not have A Brown PIT WR in your line-up. D Williams PIT RB also proved to be a more than capable replacement for L BELL when he missed time last year.

It looks like J Charles KC RB will not play in week one, this makes S Ware KC RB 5400 a must start in your line ups.

The connections that B Bortles JAX QB had with A Robinson WR  and A Hurns WR  was incredible last year. Any stack involving those guys cannot be discounted and it is one I can highly recommend on the Sunday game slate this week. Also the 2016 JAX running game has been greatly improved with the addition of C Ivory and I can see their deep threats opening a lot of space for Ivory.

K Cousins WAS QB and J Reed TE had a fantastic end of season run in 2015, you can expect that to continue to grow in 2016.

Without T Brady NE QB for the first month, I can imagine that L Blount RB will have quite a few more touches especially if J Garoppolo NE QB has any trouble in the Patriots spot light. Of course you can never tell what Coach Belichick will do, but without D Lewis NE RB (out) in the mix to take touches, Blount looks like a pretty good choice, at least for the first few weeks and especially up close on Goal Line opportunities.

M Jones Jr. WR DET has established himself as M Stafford’s DET QB deep threat in camp and without Megatron this year some one has to step up and be the Lions go to deep guy.

I was fortunate enough to see a few preseason games this past week end on the NFL Network. Make sure you use the HOU D 4900 against CHI on week one. The Bears offense looks terrible and the HOU defense looks ready to dominate offenses this year.

Players to consider and their salaries for week one on Fan Duel:

QB’s: K Cousins WAS 7800, R Wilson 8500, B Roethlisberger PIT 8500, Bortles JAX 8400, Dak Prescott DAL 5000

RB’s: S Ware KC 5400, L Blount NE 6000, D Williams PIT 7100, Langford CHI 6200, L Murray OAK 6600, D Sproles PHI 5600, C Ivory JAX 6100, J Hill CIN 6500

WR’s: K White CHI 6000,  M Crabtree OAK 6100, A Brown PIT 9300, M Jones Jr DET 5500, T Sharpe TEN 4800

TE’s: J Reed WAS 7400, D Allen IND 5500, V McDonald SF 4700

K: D Bailey DAL 4800, C Boswell PIT 4600, B Walsh MIN 4700

DST’s: HOU 4900, SEA 5000, KC 5100, MIN 4600

Top Stacks: K Cousins/J Reed WAS $15200, Big Ben/ A Brown PIT 17800,  Bortles/A Robinson JAX 16900, D Prescott/D Bryant DAL 13000

Injuries to watch: J Reed WAS TE , J Nelson GB WR, L Fitzgerald ARI WR, J Matthews WR PHI, T Eifort CIN TE, C Hyde SF RB, D Amendola NE WR, J Brown ARI WR, V Cruz NYG WR, E Ebron DET TE, D Allen IND TE

New Injuries to watch: A J Green CIN WR, K Stills MIA WR

Out: T Romo DAL QB, D Lewis NE RB, B Watson BAL TE, T Bridgewater MIN QB

My original Monday night line-up

Now I know your asking why did I choose these particular players?

First off, I waited until most of the Monday line ups were posted, usually by 4 or 5PM every afternoon, the evening lineups are available on Fan Duel.com player listing for that nights schedule.

I make it particularly important to choose players who are in today’s line up. I made sure as many as possible were batting in the top 4 or 5 on each teams batting order (more at bats = more hitting chances).

I always select my starting pitcher on a team I think will win and has a chance to accumulate as many strikeouts as possible.

Those are the simple secrets to making a winning daily fantasy baseball line up………..

Sunday Late Night Line Up on Fan Duel

You have time to join the Fan Duel Late Night NBA Contests if you hurry!

I managed a single win on my 2 entries on the Early Sunday NBA $150K Swat contest on Fan Duel. The CHA / ATL was too low of scoring and screwed me royal…..

Early Sunday Win

Luckily for me Fan Duel added some late NBA contests that start at 7PM.

I joined the $2 entry, $1K Mini Shot with this Line Up….
