— Totally Free Poker On-line Poker is up and running offers 100% Legal On-line Poker in all 50 U.S. States (even Washington, Utah and other banned states). Cafrino will not take a penny from you!  It’s completely Free!

Players are flocking to Cafrino!  In fact we found out this little tidbit from our Inside Source at just today,  Sept. 12, 2012.

We’ve had over 4500 players signed up in the last two days (which we felt was fantastic, because for most of Monday half the U.S. couldn’t even access Cafrino due to GoDaddy outages).

How is it Free?

We were not sure, and then we found out during play.

The sponsors pay the way for most prizes, which by the way are advertised as $1000’s for select events and steps SNG’S.

We signed up and tried them out on Tuesday Sept 11 at 8PM CT on their $1000 Tournament.

Cafrino Tournament Lobby

This was the only tournament listed, there are however Step Sit’N’go’s available to players……just hit the Single Table or Heads Up tab at top of main lobby.

The $1000 tournament we entered had 539 players, here’s a shot of the table that we played on.

This is a no download game, strictly Flash play. It should play just fine for Mac users.

The Bet slider is kinda bulky and registers in $1 increments, so it takes time to get used to.  There are no table stats available, no sit-out button just click IMBACK when you return and there no preset play options like check, fold, call you have to wait until your turn to make your play.

Over all play is generally just fine, except of the fact your hole cards seem to flash and change right after the fold of a prior hand and a new deal,  maybe it was me, but it sure looked kinda strange!

The  MAJOR thing we didn’t like was this,

That’s a Flash Ad with a 15 or 20 second duration!

There were advertisements popping up during play, right in the middle of the table! These happened on 5 straight hands during the beginning of the tournament, then like every couple of hands after that.

Charles Schwab, Scott Tissue and American Express are key Sponsors on

Payouts on the tournaments were very liberal, the top 500 players won something. We won 80c and finished 283rd!

500-401st won 60c, 400 to 301st won 70c, 300 to 201st won 80c, 200 to 101st won $1.20, if you finished in the top 100 you won at least $1.50

Here’s the rest of the payoffs from 20th and up,

SNG’S and Steps

The Sit’n’go’s look interesting, there are qualifiers for progressive steps and cash paying progressive steps to choose from.

There are two types Single Table (Full table) Spreerolls and Heads up spreerolls

The SNG’s fill very quickly, we didn’t wait long to play and yes, there where Ad’s while playing on  the  SNG’s.

The first SNG we tried worked out well for us,

The only thing about the SNG’s the first few hands will see many All-ins by players trying to move up quickly on the steps and a lot of sit-outs hoping to finish in the top tier and move up a step.

The Sit-outs were not removed, so they are there for the entire time.

Single Table Spreeroll (SNG’s) payouts

There are cash payoffs  starting at level 2 of 1c for the winner, then they progress rather rapidly up to step 10, increasing amounts and number of cash paying spots.

Step 11 to Step 15 SNG Cash game winners shown to be in the $1000’s, but none playing when we were on-line.

Heads up Spreerolls (SNG’s)

Start paying cash at Step 5 with 1c being paid to the winner.

Prizes escalate quickly from that point on.

Step 10 pays 39c and 13c, Step 15 pays $12.53 and $4.18, Step 20 pays $401 and $133,  Step 25 pays $12,834 and $4278!!

There are more Steps available to play, but the prizes are not available at this time.

This is where the real money is at, and heads-up players can make a lot very quickly–Keep in mind that once you choose to play for cash on the Heads Up  Spreeroll Steps you go back to Step One upon completion of that match!

Before playing any cash paying  SNG

You must use some digression when choosing to go for a Cash paying SNG (you are given this choice when signing up for a SNG),  you will revert back to step one (no step tickets are awarded, it’s cash or nothing) after finishing the cash paying SNG, so it would be wise to move up the ladder to the higher paying tiers before going for a cash paying SNG.

This is just a suggestion, you must keep in mind there may be a wait for the higher paying SNG’s to fill up, however when they do fill,  your play time will be better spent going for larger awards.

Account Balances

You are kept up to date on your account Balance at the top of the Main lobby.

Here is how I stand as of Sept. 12, 2012

I have a single table step 2 ticket, a heads up step 3 ticket and 80c in cash.

Customer Service is Fantastic,

I emailed a question and had a response in minutes……can’t do better than that!

Cash-outs may take up to 90 days to receive and are only by Pay Pal.

Here are the Cash-out terms directly from the Cafrino Site:

What are my cashout options?

Cafrino is currently offering cashouts with NO MINIMUM. Have you recently won $0.05 and would like to claim this?  No problem!  At this time, all cashouts will be processed through PayPal. There is no fee to request a cashout of your winnings.  However, if you win $600 or more in a single calendar year, by law we must put a hold on your transfer until you have satisfied the income reporting requirements of the U.S. Government. To see more about the requirements, please refer to our Terms and Conditions.

We like the liberal tournament payouts, and the potential wins on the step SNG’s, however the ad’s flashed on the tables during SNG and Tournament play is awful.

We know it is needed to finance play, but isn’t there a better place to show them?

I guess you could get used to them, but it will take a lot of getting used to!
