Poker Stars settles with DoJ on Full Tilt Purchase

On July 31, 2012 after months of negotiations the DEAL is Done!

Poker Stars has reached agreement with the U.S. Dept of Justice to purchase all of Full Tilts Assets.

There had been rumors and rumblings of such an agreement for months, when in fact discussions were indeed taking place.

Full Tilt Players, your wait is almost over…..

Here is the Official statement from the DoJ:

It should be noted,

U.S. victims of the company’s alleged fraud will be able to seek compensation from the Department of Justice (“DOJ”).

However, No details were given as to how to file a claim on the statement.

Poker Stars also released a Statement:

Under the agreement with the Department of Justice, Poker Stars does not admit to any wrongdoing. Furthermore, the agreement explicitly permits Poker Stars to apply to relevant U.S. gaming authorities, under both Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker brands, to offer real money online poker when State or Federal governments introduce a framework to regulate such activity.

This means as soon as we have a Federally legislated bill permitting internet Poker–Poker Stars will return to the U.S.
