Saturday, March 12 Fan Duel NBA Line Up Suggestion

I made one of the biggest mistakes a daily fantasy player could make yesterday on my NBA line up. I set a line up that I was happy with and then started reading some “expert” pick advice and changed my mind.  NEVER allow yourself to change your initial thoughts on your line up decisions (unless there is an injury involved). If you read something you think will work, make a new line up using that information, but always keep your original line up intact.

I ended up setting my line ups on the fly yesterday and produced one small pay-out.

My mistake was switching out L. Stephenson MEM SG who scored 52.4 points for E Moore CHI SG who scored 15.9 points. I had Stephenson in my original line up but switched him when D Rose was ruled out for CHI. That cost me a win on my 10 team contest and my Main Slate $10K tournament.

I had 2 lineups scoring over 317 points, which is a good night. But scoring was really high last night and you would have needed 350+points for a semi-decent win on almost every contest.

The Main Slate $10K was won with a 399.6 point score and 1st place took home $750 for that score.

I’m just going with the Main Slate contests tonight, I couldn’t come up with a line up I liked on the Late night or After Hours contests.

There are no Express Contests tonight on Fan Duel.

Thursday, March 10th Fan Duel Line Up Suggestions

The last few days I have been just awful with my line up combinations on Fan Duel.

I’ve had a few scores within reach of at least a cash out, but nothing really exciting to speak of.

I play mainly the larger GPP tournaments and maybe I could have caught a few wins on a few of the smaller 10 team leagues, double ups or 50/50’s.

Being a tournament player, I like the excitement for the potential for a big winner on my line ups, that’s why I stick to the larger GPP’s.

You just have to live with the cold spells when they occur during your tournament play.

Tonight we have a 4 game NBA slate on Fan Duel starting at 7:30PM

My main tournament plays tonight are on the $1-$20K Dribble (single entry), the $1-$75K NBA Swat and the $1-$10K Baby Swat with these two line-ups:

Always monitor your NBA Fantasy Players statuses

There is something that every one who plays NBA Fantasy has to realize and understand. You must monitor every players status once you set your NBA fantasy line ups.

Last night for example, I had to change a few of my line ups right before the 7PM tip off with late injury news /scratch information.

You must remember, The NBA is quite different from the NFL.

Sure there are more injuries on the NFL, but you have a week of information to prepare/alter your line ups when playing Fantasy Football.

On Fantasy NBA, you sometimes only have 10 or 15 minutes to react to late player scratches for injuries, rest or personal issues. NBA Fantasy is not a set your line up and wait kind of game, you must really be into it and pay attention each and every day up until game time and make sure every one is playing.

This is especially true on Fan Duel, the line ups lock as soon as the first game of the slate tips off.

Last night, Vucevic ORL was a late scratch and D Green GSW ended up playing (I took him out earlier) for my Late Night Line-up. I missed this information and ended with a big 0 for my center position and wasn’t even close to competing on that contest.

Monday, March 7th Fan Duel NBA Line Up suggestions

Line Ups Updated 3:30PM & 6PM

First off, you had to know that Golden State would lose to a lessor team eventually, but the Lakers???????

Wow, who saw that coming? I figured a easy GSW win with the starters sitting out the 4th quarter.

Well that just shows you, sometimes the best match up in fantasy, just isn’t all it’s cut out to be………..

Luckily, I stayed pretty much away from that game (except for K Thompson and  a couple of Lakers)  and concentrated on the rest of the Sunday NBA schedule.

My efforts seemed to work, I ended up Sunday ahead of the game.

Still, I had 3 line ups that scored over 352 points but still only hit some small payouts. I doubled my buy-ins, so I do consider that a success.

The $1/$20K Dribbler was won with a 433.7 score (a $2000 win), which was 80 points over what my line ups produced……

I cashed on the Sunday Dribblers, here are my results:

Don’t ask me what happened on the daily $250 free roll, do you think the free roll winner (433.5 points) played a real money contest? I hope he did!!!!!!!!

My Express Line up did what I always hope to to do, at least hit a minimum win.

There are 7 games scheduled tonight in the NBA, including ORL at GSW in which the Warriors should be looking to make every one forget what the Lakers did to them on Sunday.

My Main Slate Monday, March 7th Line Ups will be on the $1-$100K Swat, the $1-$25K Dribbler and the $1-$500 Mini Dribbler.

Beware, V Oladipo ORL SG is a GTD and is a late starting game, It sounds like he will play.

Switch out Matt Barnes MEM SF with H Barnes GSW SF, Matt Barnes is a scratch.

I skipped the Express slate tonight and went with a Late Night Line up.

March 5th Express Line up Suggestion

One of my 4 paid tournament line ups caught a Pay Out on Fan Duel on Friday Night.

The winning line up on the $10K NBA After Hours Swat scored 276 points and won $750.

What was the big difference between his line up and mine?

He had Markel Brown of the Brooklyn Nets. I had W Barton.

Brown scored 40.1 points to Bartons 18.9

Now only .5% of the 11,764 entrants had Brown, that’s like 58 total line ups with Brown and by the way, he was on the 1st and 3rd place contest finishers.

How did they know he was going to go off like that?

The BKN at DEN game also went into OT, just another thing that just went against me on Friday Night.

The Saturday March 5th NBA game Slate has just 8 games scheduled.

March 3, 2016, Fantasy NBA Tournament Plays

I caught one win with last nights line ups,

Tonight there are 4 really great Games on the Fan Duel Contest Slates.

PHO at MIA, SA at NO, SAC at DAL and OKC at GSW

I’m playing the Full Slate, Express and Late Night Slates tonight.

Look for the $2-$250K Shot, $1-$100K Swat (Main), $2-$50K Shot (Express) and $1-$10K Shot (Express) tonight on Fan Duel.

There are a lot of nice plays tonight, including the OKC at GSW game which should see an over of 230, with a shit load of fantasy scoring possible. I went with line ups that reflected the OKC/GWS game in particular and am hoping I can hit a couple of pay outs.

By the way, it took a while to try to figure this out and if something new comes up, I’ll update the line ups later.

Tuesday March 1 NBA Express Line Up Advice

Monday Night got me back on the winning track on my Fan Duel NBA Contest play.

My late Night Line Up caught me a $1-10 team league win and a $4 Cash on the NBA Swat. Too bad Wayne Ellington got pulled with a possible concussion or I may have moved a little higher on the final Late Night NBA Swat standings.  My 304.70 points got me a 465th place payout, 100th place finished with 314.6 and first place had 333.60

6 Games tonight, with POR at NYK, CHI at MIA on the Express Slate. The Late Slate has ORL at DAL, ATL at GSW and BKN at LAL

I’m going to play the $1 entry /$10K NBA Express Swat tonight with these Line Ups:

I’m also entering a random 10 team Express league tonight with this one.

My second Express line up is for the $10K Swat only.

I saw that D Rose CHI PG said he is playing tonight, but is on a minutes limit so I’ll pass on him. The Salaries on the Express Slate tonight will allow you to play just about any player combination you like.

That makes the NBA Express Slate a must play tonight on Fan Duel

I’m avoiding the Late Night and After Hours slates tonight. Steph Currys PG GSW injury status is making me balk on these. I don’t want him in a line up and then has a night off, I also don’t want a line up without him and he plays. The Late Night line ups lock at 8:30 and ATL at GSW doesn’t start until 10:30. I may throw in a After Hours line up if I hear any definitive news on Curry in time.

Fan Duel NBA Line Up Suggestions for Friday Feb. 26th

If you had used my suggested Express Line Up last night you would have cashed out a winner. You would have had multiple wins if you used that line up in multiple Express Tournaments.

Top score on the Thursday $10K NBA Swat was just 344.90, so the field was close all evening.

The Main NBA slate for Fan Duel for today is 8 games.

For our Line ups, I’m using the Express Slate of ORL at NYK 7:30PM and CLE at TOR 7:30 PM

I’m also looking at the Late Slate of CHI at ATL 8PM and DEN at DAL 8:30 PM.

There are $10K NBA Swats ($1 entry) and $50K NBA Shots ($2 entry) available on both the Express and Late Slates.

The Express Slate has some very good player options, however they are all very costly and difficult to manage into a guaranteed winner.

I’m going with this Express Line Up.

The Late Slate has many more possible winning combinations and I really like our chances with this Line Up.

Monitor the injury statuses of D Rose CHI and D Williams DAL on Twitter, as I think they are interchangeable on this line up. Playing both is also possible, but Rose may have limited minutes tonight.

D Williams is the safer option, as it looks like he’ll play no matter what.

After I thought of it, I added a 2nd Late Night Entry, the salaries make this slate a must for multiple play tonight…….Again monitor the statuses of D Rose CHI and P Gasol CHI, replacing them will be a snap if there are any scratches.
